Three Village Resources.
The Gifted Monkey, Biz, has always been a very playful but creative Monkey since he was of a
very young age. He spent many years daydreaming of opening a business where he could put
his creative abilities to use. But, but he was young and a bit scared.
None of his friends or
family believed in him, they always put his ideas down. They told
him to
stop dreaming and live like the other jungle animals did. He knew that he wasn't like the other
animals, so he spent much of his time unhappy. The animals would get mad because he would
daydream about his business ideas, more
often then not. He knew he wouldn’t be truly happy
until
he realized his dream of
being a business owner.
So one day Biz woke up and said, this jungle is not for me. All they do is lay around, gripe and moan
and eat all day. "I need something more", he said. So he decided to leave the jungle and set off for
bigger and better things. He packed his suitcase, said goodbye to his friends and family and headed
for Long Island, New York.
In his first few weeks he
was there he decided to have his tree house built by CR Renovations, in Stony
Brook, New York. Stony Brook is a place filled with so much
culture, history and beauty like he had never
seen. The carriage house, Long Island
Museum and Grist Mill were just doors
away from his home, and his
favorite places to visit. He was glad to
be central to the Long Island Rail Road, since he didn't drive. The
Port Jefferson Ferry was also a very close option if he wanted to
expand his business.
So in Stony Brook he made
his home to start his very own business.
He just loved Stony Brook Village for
all of the fun events that it had to
offer. He loved bike riding, swimming at
the Marina and catching
some fish (though he didn't eat them). Sometimes he would go tubing
down the
harbor which
was alot of fun. He was careful because
Stony Brooks tide can change very quickly, so he always
made
sure he wore his
life vest.
He usually ended his day taking a walk down to Avalon Park to see the ducks in the pond and eating ice cream from The Brook House on his way back home.
He realized after the first few weeks that he was still playing, like he was in the jungle so it was time to stop playing and start getting serious about his creative ideas. Being so close to Stony Brook Hospital, St. Charles Hospital and Mather Hospital, he thought, had to have some area of opportunity. He knew that he always wanted to be a doctor, but he wasn't very good at school. He thought, what if I made very special gift baskets that would bring a smile to sick people’s faces, that would be sort-of like being a doctor. He knew that that would make him really happy to make people feel better by bringing them a smile. Being a bit of a candy junkie, he thought of anything and everything sweet that he could possibly put in his baskets. Then, he thought, what if I filled suitcases with stuff that would surely make them smile. It would be just like when he packed up his suitcase to come to Stony Brook to find his smile. Surely that would work, he pondered. He would make suitcase care baskets. He was getting more excited as he added, "Hey, I'll even deliver them" so they get their gifts will get there even quicker.
So he started his business
and it took off without a glitch and he had made many people happy
with the gift
baskets
he delivered. He realized that had he listened to the people that
did not believe in him, he wouldn’t be living his lifelong
dream.
So Biz's motto from that
day on was "He believed He could, so He
did".
When Biz is not delivering his adorable gift suitcases and baskets people at Stony Brook hospital, St. Charles Hospital and Mather Hospital, he will swing down to Port Jefferson, East Setauket and many other beautiful places in the Three Village area.
